The obverse of the coin features, in the centre, a stylised coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania, Vytis, which is depicted against a background of interfering coherent light waves, surrounded by the inscription LIETUVA (LITHUANIA) 2016, 5€. The reverse of the coin features a stylised reflection of a laser light impulse. There is the inscription LIETUVOS MOKSLAS (Lithuanian Science) at the top and Fizika (Physics) at the bottom of the coin.

2015 - 2 euro Commemorative Coin - 30th Anniversary of the Flag of Europe
The design was chosen by competition. A pre-selection of projects took place between 23 and 27 March, before a selection by European citizens. The winning piece was announced on 28 May 2015. It has collected 30% of votes.

The design features 12 human-like figures, arms outstretched spiraling outward from and surrounding the flag, on which the 12 stars represents the original members.

2015 - 2 euro Commemorative Coin - Lithuanian Language
The design shows the word "AČIŪ" (THANK YOU) - one of the most beautiful words in the Lithuanian language. An original Lithuanian font - created specially on the basis of the Latin font for the occasion of the centenary of the restoration of Lithuanian press - in order to match better the combinations of letters used most in the Lithuanian language, is used in the project. All the letters of the Lithuanian language are depicted on the background of the word "AČIŪ", laid out in a tag cloud.

2015 - 20 Euro Silver "Mykolas Kleopas Oginskis" PROOF
Coin dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the birth of Michał Kleofas Ogiński.
Michał Kleofas Ogiński was a Polish composer, diplomat, politician,Grand Treasurer of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and a senator of Tsar Alexander I. His father Andrius was a Polish-Lithuanian nobleman and governor of Trakai, in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Oginski was fond of Italian and French opera, played violin, clavichord and balalaika. He started composing marches and military songs in 1790s and became popular among the rebels in 1794. He composed some 20 polonaises, various piano pieces, mazurkas, marches, romances and waltzes. In 1794 he wrote a polonaise "Farewell to the Homeland" (Pożegnanie ojczyzny).

The reverse of the coin features a stylized map of the Europe Union in the centre, the inscription LIETUVOS PIRMININKAVIMAS EUROPOS SĄJUNGOS TARYBAI (Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union) is arranged in a circle.
The obverse of the coin contains Vytis, a stylized coat-of-arms of the Republic of Lithuania in the centre; the inscriptions 2013, LIETUVA (Lithuania) are arranged in a semicircle above them, the denomination 1 LITŲ (1 litas) is placed at the bottom.
