The coin celebrates the 25th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuania’s independence.
The obverse of the coin features a stylised Vytis, the inscription LIETUVA (LITHUANIA) at the top, the denomination €20 - on the left and the year of issue 2015 at the bottom. The mintmark of the Mint is impressed on the reverse of the coins. The reverse of the coin features a boat with a sail shaped like a wing of a bird, the Lithuanian Tricolour and a musical fragment of the national anthem; the inscription NEPRIKLAUSOMYBĖS ATKŪRIMAS 25 (RESTORATION OF INDEPENDENCE 25) is arranged in a semicircle.
