The Council Hall of the XII, small boardroom in the sixteenth century style at the Public Palace, home to one of the most well-known images of the Saint Marino, depicted while he blesses the Monte Titano. Traditionally attributed to Guercino, the painting was recently recognized as the work of his pupil and collaborator Bartolomeo Gennari (1594-1661). The famous portrait of the Saint is displayed on the 20 cent coin from 2002. On 3rd September of each year, the day that the liturgy dedicated to the veneration of San Marino, is celebrated the Founding of the Republic Party with a solemn ceremony that takes place firstly at the interior of the Basilica del Santo and then in the Public Palace in the presence of the greatest civil and religious authorities and with great participation by citizens. Even today, as in past centuries, during the half-year appointment of the new Regent Captains, the Great and General Council members, before the formal vote in the council, they inspire themselves by the Saint and again the Saint is invoked by the Regent Captains in the solemn oath at the time of their endowments.

2015 - 2 euro Commemorative Coin - German Reunification
Coin dedicated to 25th anniversary of German reunification 1990-2015, Brilliant Uncirculated.
The reunification of the German state was officially sanctioned on Oct. 3, 1990, not even a year after the fall of the Berlin Wall that for 28 years had literally broken in two Germany and all of Europe. The territories of the German Democratic Republic, commonly called "East Germany", were formed in as many Land (federal states) and formally joined the Federal Republic of Germany.
The coin shows two representations of the Brandenburg Gate that cross as two hands, a symbol of the reunification of the two peoples. In fact it was the first place where the inhabitants of both sides of the Berlin Wall met after its fall. The Gate, finished in 1791, during the Cold War was located in East Berlin. Today it is the most famous monument of the city.

2014 - 5 euro Silver "Berlin Wall" BU
Silver coin dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Brilliant Uncirculated.
The Berlin Wall, built by the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) during the Cold War, encircled the entire West Berlin, separating it from East Germany, including East Berlin. This wall also symbolized the division of the world into two parts: Federal Republic of Germany (FRG), which was constituted by capitalist countries led by the United States; and the German Democratic Republic (GDR), consisting of the socialist countries of the Soviet regime supporters. The wall was built in the early hours of August 13, 1961 and was patrolled by East German soldiers with orders to shoot to kill those who tried to escape. During a revolutionary wave that swept the Eastern Bloc, the East German government announced on November 9, 1989, after several weeks of civil unrest, that all GDR citizens could visit West Germany and West Berlin. Crowds of East Germans crossed and climbed the wall, joining the West Germans on the other side in a celebratory atmosphere. Over the next few weeks, parts of the wall were destroyed by the euphoric audience.

Then he became Greek and Latin teacher, and when he was 50 years old he was nominated as Literature teacher in the University where he had studied.
He died in 1912 at the age of 57 years old.
In his poetry stands out the totality of the emotions a certain situation can create.
The most important thing to him was is to take life spontaneously, as children would.
This is the kind of attitude that Pascoli took with the approach to reality, expressing genuineness and sense of wonder.

2010 - 2 euro Commemorative Coin - Sandro Botticelli - The Spring
The coin celebrates the 500th Anniversary of the Death of Sandro Botticelli.
Sandro Botticelli was an Italian painter of the Florentine school during the Early Renaissance (Quattrocento). Less than a hundred years later, this movement, under the patronage of Lorenzo de' Medici, was characterized by Giorgio Vasari as a "golden age", a thought, suitably enough, he expressed at the head of his Vita of Botticelli. His posthumous reputation suffered until the late 19th century; since then his work has been seen to represent the linear grace of Early Renaissance painting. Among his best known works are The Birth of Venus and Primavera.

2008 - 5 euro Silver "International Year of Planet Earth" BU
Silver coin, Brilliant Uncirculated.
The reverse represents a ridge of sectioned land upon which stands a tree, and above the horizon, Mount Titan. The all is embraced by a circular arch which stems from four ripples below, to represent the oceans, and terminates above with a hurricane vortex, which represents climatic change, visually recalling the sphericity of the Globe. In the centre, Karst formations, to represent underground rivers, resources found below the earth’s surface. The tree symbolizes life, which through its roots, draws directly from these resources. The obverse side depicts a semicircle to represent the Globe, inside of which are found the three towers, whose feathers have been replaced by three of the four natural elements: Fire, Earth and Air. Water, on the other hand, is represented by the ripples found at the base of the three towers.
