Silver coin dedicated to 100th Anniversary of the Death of Giovanni Pascoli.
Giovanni Pascoli is considered a some of the most important Italian literary man. He was born in San Mauro di Romagna in the year 1855. Since his childhood he was keen on classics and, thanks to a scholarship, he was able to continue his studies until he graduated at the Literature Faculty in Bologna. Then he became Greek and Latin teacher, and when he was 50 years old he was nominated as Literature teacher in the University where he had studied. He died in 1912 at the age of 57 years old.
In his poetry stands out the totality of the emotions a certain situation can create. The most important thing to him was is to take life spontaneously, as children would.
This is the kind of attitude that Pascoli took with the approach to reality, expressing genuineness and sense of wonder.
