2 euro coin dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the birth of Tintoretto, Brilliant Uncirculated.
Jacopo Robusti, known as Tintoretto, was an Italian painter and citizen of the Republic of Venice.
He was one of the greatest exponents of the Venetian school and probably the last great painter of the Italian Renaissance. The nickname "Tintoretto" derived from his father's craft, dyer of fabrics.
The obverse of the coin depicts the embrace between the Madonna and Elizabeth, a detail taken from the painting "Visitation", kept at Scuola Grande di San Rocco.
