2 euro coin dedicated to the work of Antoni Gaudì the "Park Güell", Brilliant Uncirculated.
The Park Güell is one of the achievements of the architect Antoni Gaudí in Barcelona that appear on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites since 1984.
It was commissioned to Gaudí by his patron who had bought a hill (El Carmel) north of the city. He realized the project between 1900 and 1914.
The overall result of the settlement included accommodation, studies, a chapel and a park, for a total of 60 houses, but only one of the lots was purchased and only two houses were completed. In one of the two houses already built up he lived for many years the same Gaudí, with his father and daughter of his sister, until his final move in the construction of the Sagrada Família. The city of Barcelona bought it in 1922, transforming it into a public park.
